What is biodiversity?

BIODIVERSITY is a new word which is composed of the two words "Biological" and "Diversity". Put simply it means the variety of life and includes everything from birds and bacteria and the blue whale and humans. The term includes the habitats that supports these organisms and the complex relationship that exists between the habitats and the species.
